SOUTHEAST CHAPTER POCI MONTHLY MEETING #28 VETERAN’S CAR SHOW KELSEY PARK and POCI ANNUAL PICNIC

Bob called the meeting to order at 12:01 pm. Our first order of business was the reading of the minutes from our last meeting. Frank read the minutes, recorded by Bob in Frank’s absence. Bob handed out club stickers for those who wanted them, and also name tags.

Tom stated our treasury balance stands at $3467.59, with 2 new members joining at the show. Tom reminded those who have not renewed their dues, to please do so before the end of the year.
​
There were 3 members who won awards at the COOL show in Stuart, put on by the Treasure Coast Vintage Car Club. Dave Rubin scored 2 awards, one for an Excellence award in his class with his Firebird, and also Military Museum Choice award. Andre won an Excellence award with his ’64 GTO convertible. Frank also won an Excellence award with his unrestored, 20,000 original mile ’66 GTO. Joe Adornetto won Best Interior at the Somerset Academy show, in Boynton Beach. Frank attended the Manheim Auto Auction show, Tuesday, October 22nd, put on by the Southeast Florida Corvette Club, and came away with Best in Show. American Iron still rules over fiberglass !!

Ned is still looking for articles, and pictures for our webpage. I think we have some for him after all these winners.

Kevin was applauded for paying for our food for the picnic. Thank you, Kevin.

Upcoming shows mentioned was a gift drive at Big Rocco’s Pizza, 10479 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, given by the South East Rods, and Customs, Saturday, December 14th, from 4 to 7pm. Looking at future shows next year, we have the Quiet Waters Park COOL WHEELS show, January 12th, in Pompano, also River Ranch the last weekend in January, and Sunday, March 2nd at Lou Backrodt Chevrolet, put on by the Corvette Club. Saturday, March 8th. Gino Francavilla has invited our club to his house for a picnic/get together, Saturday, March 8th. Everyone is encouraged to bring your ride.
